How does that saying go again – my body’s back but my mind’s on vacation? Our long weekend in Maine was wonderful. Thank you Anna and Frank for again welcoming us into your home with open arms! There are so many neat things about the cabin in the woods and the people who visit there. How can you capture it all in just a few photos?
The macro lenses were in high demand this trip. Thank you, Ian, for sacrificing your arm for the mosquito shots!

I’m counting the hours until we leave for a much needed weekend getaway with friends. No internet, no cell phones, no tv. Just plenty of good music, food, friends and the great outdoors! See you when we get back!

Shaquille O’Neal was in town this week for a two-day broadcast journalism course at Syracuse University. Sounds like he’s thinking about life after the NBA. I thought I’d share a few photos taken in an on-campus television studio during his visit, plus one from an exhibition game last fall when he made his first trip to Syracuse. While I have a hard time watching the man shoot a free throw (!) he certainly has a presence under the hoop. And I have to say he was quite a character in person!
I don’t usually think to have my photo taken at these sort of events, but I didn’t think anyone would believe me when I said that I’m only a foot shorter than Shaq. Heck I could be almost be a small forward in the NBA, right?! Not sure I would stand a chance against a guy weighing 2 ½ times my weight though.

…the people walking the highway outnumber those in vehicles! Talk about a backup. I was headed into work Monday on I-90 and had to stop and get this shot when I saw it. (Thankfully I was going in the opposite direction!) Apparently a bus clogged up the highway when it broke down in a construction zone. One kid was even playing soccer to pass the time!
