It’s been raining steadily all afternoon. (Which brings me to my next post!) I photographed a very wet Chase Corporate Challenge recently in Rochester, New York, and as I huddled under a dripping umbrella near the finish, I felt inspired by the sideways rain to blur the movement of the runners with some long exposures. I think in the end it was worth getting soaked for! Let’s hope my own Corporate Challenge coming up on the 23rd is a little less… artistic.

* These were taken with an ISO setting of 800 and an exposure of 1/20 to 1/30 sec @ f/8

Being busy is a good thing. Being too busy to blog… not such a good thing! I think I have some catching up to do. Let me start by posting something that really gave me a good laugh after a long day of work last Saturday. I was headed to my car when I noticed something unusual out of the corner of my eye – this tiny little toy car centered perfectly in the spot ahead of me. I can’t exactly explain why it made me laugh so hard. I guess the idea that someone placed it there hoping someone else would notice, or maybe the security guard’s reaction when he walked by me flat on the pavement at 11 at night to get this shot!
