…visited Hobart and William Smith Colleges last week, part of the Spring 2010 President’s Forum Series. Here’s my alternative to the standard head-on podium shot.

…Which means the HWS Commencement was held outdoors on the quad… Which means even better pictures than when it’s held indoors! I really enjoy photographing this particular graduation with such vibrant colors and dynamic faculty and students to work with. I think of the bagpipers as an added bonus.

When I’m not working in Syracuse, I enjoy taking pictures close to home. The dance department at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva has hosted some pretty neat guest artists in the past, and their most recent was no exception. New York City based Jody Sperling and her Time Lapse Dance was colorful, engaging and, well, really fun to photograph! I’ll let the pictures tell the rest.
